Nora is 14 months

4/20

Playing catch up: the middle of April

4/11
Nora discovered that she could use the little chairs to get stuff of the counters. She kept stealing my utensils and butter. She was quite proud.

4/13
Nora discovered she can climb into Maya's tall chair.

4/15
The library had a meet and greet with the police and fire fighters after story time today. It was the highlight of her day. Even better than going to Panera for lunch.

5/17
We went to the zoo with some friends today.
5/18
Maya had soccer this morning. Then we worked in the garden. Well some of us worked, some just made dirt angels.

Happy (belated) Easter and the first week of April

4/1
Maya's preschool friend hosted an Easter party at the park. It was a blustery day but the kids had fun. When we were getting ready to leave for the party Nora came through the house with a block. She put it on her forehead and said beep beep beep. Hilarious proof that my poor kids have been sick too often recently.

4/3
We went to the local kiddy amusement park with some friends. Maya and Nora really enjoyed it.

4/4
Another busy day. Maya had soccer. Then we headed to the farmer's market. After nap we dyed eggs and had a practice egg hunt. Then we made some Easter treats.

Happy Easter. Both girls seem to be wearing Christmas pajamas this morning for pictures with their baskets. After breakfast I tried to get a few pictures of the girls in their dresses my mom made. Maya is a little ridiculous with her fake smile cheese face. After church we went to a friends house for food and an egg hunt. Nora liked to clap and say yay after every egg. They received and ate way too much sugar. It rained a little which is unusual for this time of the year but it didn't hamper the egg hunt. Maya wanted to hide the eggs after we were home. Nora enjoyed finding them again. All and all a good day.

Big girl car seats

Hi there. It's been a while.

On March 28, Maya had soccer first thing in the morning. Then we went to get her a big girl car seat. She was outgrowing the convertible car seat and Nora was outgrowing the infant one so it worked out well. The lady behind us in line at the baby store was kind enough to give us a 20% off coupon. Nora had a bit of a poopslosion and I forgot to restock the diaper bag. Fortunately we were at a baby store so she scored a brand new outfit. Nora will get the convertible car seat after it's cleaned up a bit and a few minor parts replaced.
