Derek's parents came out last week for a few days. We went to the beach of Friday. Maya had a blast as usual until she got too cold. She was terrified of the metallic toilets there. They were the wrong color and she kept saying "don't like it, don't like it". We brought her little potty but left in the car when we were unloading. Fortunately, we made it back in time.
Saturday, we went to the farmers market. Maya insisted on wearing her Peter Rabbit dress. She got a balloon animal, a pink giraffe. She was so proud of it. It lasted until we got home and she put it down in the yard. Then she was heartbroken. She recovered after a nap. Then we painted some eggs and hid them a couple of times.
Derek's parents left bright and early on Easter morning. Maya woke at her usual time and said she wanted to go see if gram and pop-pop were up. So sad. She did enjoy her basket, especially the truck and the chocolate. And she loved her dress with matching doll dress. We went to a friends house for lunch after church and the kids hunted eggs. Maya got distracted after like the second egg when she accidentally opened it and found chocolate inside.
